The Skeptic Takes a Look At Bruce Pascoe and His Dark Emu
In the latest The Skeptic on-line magazine, Paul Prociv, a retired physician-parasitologist, whose 21 years at the University of Queensland included teaching in Indigenous Health, provides an excellent review of the Bruce Pascoe - Dark Emu phenomenon.
Like us at Dark Emu Exposed, he ends up with the same bewildering conclusion regarding the book, Dark Emu,
‘I’m surprised that the ABC, with its well-deserved reputation for investigative journalism, could treat Pascoe’s stories (including identity) so credulously; even the once- formidable Kerry O’Brien…in his interview (available on Youtube), treats Pascoe with reverence, allowing him to deftly evade any tentatively searching question.
The public has been let down badly on this. The big question that should now be asked, starting with university senates, state ministers for education and their bureaucrats, and the ABC board, is: “How did it come to this?” Don’t hold your breath waiting for any answers.’
